I was praying and asking the Lord to ‘pierce the darkness’ in a general sense, I suddenly saw the Lord giving people gold-tipped pens, with the nib shaped like an arrow.

I saw that as people started to write and release what God had given them, it was as if their writings cut through the darkness like a knife, through a sheet of fabric.

This caused a shaft of light to shine through, where previously it had been impenetrable, and it began to cause those who were bathed in the light to come alive and awaken. They were shaking their heads and rubbing their eyes as though this new ‘seeing’, was waking them from a deep sleep.

I then saw those newly awakened ones begin to touch the shoulders of those around them and begin to gently shake them awake.

Psalm 45:1 says:

My heart is overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

I feel like the Lord is encouraging us to seek Him for the compositions of His heart – they may be writings, words of encouragement, books, lyrics, music, poetry etc.

As we yield our hearts and senses to Him, I believe He will quicken things to us to capture, and release bringing freedom, hope, love and joy to others.
